Here is a great piece from lottery guru Ken Silver about our favourite topic…

You’re an intelligent person. So am I. So what are we doing talking about a law of attracting whatever we want? Surely it can’t work:

- Can we turn silver into gold by attracting it? – Can we invent a perpetual motion machine by attracting it? – Can we suddenly get a large box on our doorstep filled with $100 notes by attracting it?

And you’ll be interested in this one… Can we win the lottery jackpot by attracting it? The answer to the first 3 questions is no, the lottery yes, and I’ll tell you why… First, let’s understand how you CAN attract stuff into your life. After all, it got me the car of my dreams. You can use it to get almost anything you want too. Let’s step it out:

#1. You sit down every night and make a wish list of the things you want.
#2. Then you review the list several times daily, and last thing at night.
#3. When the time is right (not your time, the universe’s) it will come to you.

Everything of value that I own has been attracted this way. Let’s get into more detail so you can follow my ‘law’ to get whatever you dream of:

#1. When you write the wish list, make sure you speak to yourself in the present. So you will say: “I HAVE a red Ferrari, and it’s sitting in my driveway.” Or, “My family is united and we are enjoying our time together each day.” It’s very important to put yourself IN the dream, set in today. Not a hopeful future “maybe” but a certain “it’s here and I’m enjoying it.” Write the wish in your own handwriting in a diary, so you can repeat it fresh each day. That’s essential because over time your wish may change slightly, and you want to be updating it as you go. Be specific… color, model, year, if it’s a car. Use emotional words to describe what you want… gleaming,sparkling, happy, love. Anything that will draw out deep feelings about what you want.

#2. You’ve got to keep your wish list at the front of your mind every day. This attraction business is not some crazy voodoo craze. It really works. Because by reviewing your wishes many times a day you keep your mind actively engaged towards what you desire. When you are constantly thinking of your dream, you’ll always have your radar on. And when an opportunity comes up, you’ll SEE it fast. Just like when you concentrate on anything you are passionate about, you see many examples around you all the time where previously you didn’t notice them at all.

#3. Don’t put a time frame on your request. Won’t work. Because often you’ll have to go through certain stages to acquire your dream… stages that you’re not aware of right now. Could be that you need to mature a little more, overcome depression, change your circumstances. Sometimes nothing will happen until you have taken those steps. When I wanted the Bentley, I already had 2 expensive sports cars. I had to sell one of them before the wish list was “cleared” enough to accept the new car. Let’s apply it to the lottery. I know it sounds crazy to talk about a law and make it apply to a random number game. And I’ll be the first to say it can’t work, won’t happen. You definitely cannot ‘attract’ a jackpot into your life.

But what WILL happen when you follow my steps is this… – You will think about winning constantly. That thinking will fuel and drive your ambition. – As the thoughts fill your mind constantly through the written list and repetition, you will see more ways to get what you want. Without even thinking about it you will automatically: Play the lottery more regularly, Increase the number of tickets you buy to broaden your odds & see more winning strategies you had overlooked before as you were not attuned to earlier possibilities.

Can you get anything you want this way? Well, do you think your list will turn silver into gold, give you perpetual motion or acquire $100 notes from thin air? Nope. Our brain automatically separates what is plainly and scientifically impossible, and only moves on the ideas that we instinctively KNOW will work. Your list will work because you will be specific about:

- how you can get a better car

- how you can quit your debt

- how you can make $1,000,000.

How come? Well, we know these ideas can be attained because we’ve seen others succeed that way. You’ve been told about my car attraction, now duplicate my method to get whatever you want – including the lottery! Easy as that.

Persistence – a key to winning the lottery

It can’t emphasis how important Persistence is to your play strategy. Many people fail because they don’t carry that tiny spark of enthusiasm that keeps their nose to the grindstone when things get tough.

To improve your own persistence level, follow these 4 tips:

#1. Play regularly, on a set day each time. This gives you something to look forward to. If you decide to play only when you feel like it – that won’t work.

#2. Inspire yourself. Dream a little about what you will spend your winnings on. Talk to your partner or friends and get a little crazy over how you’ll spend your windfall. It may be helping family and friends have an easier life, or splurging out on luxuries for yourself. Make it
wild and vivid!

#3. Think about philanthropy; giving some of your win away quietly to needy causes. Imagine what it would feel like to make an anonymous donation of $100,000 to your local church or community center, for example. Imagine the smile of satisfaction you get each time you pass by the building YOU helped build, and seeing the people you helped get better lives for themselves.

#4. Don’t hype yourself up. Too big a ‘win’ expectation means a big disappointment if you don’t get what you hoped for. Just keep reminding yourself…

A Lottery Number Picker who Won!

You were a smart Lottery Number Picker & you’ve won the lottery. Great! Now your problems start…

For example, what happens when you can’t get into the lottery headquarters to present your ticket until Monday? You can’t put it into a safe deposit box because the banks are closed. How do you keep it secure? This kind of scenario often goes through the minds of many winners. So they sleep with the ticket under their pillow. Some others will put it in the fridge, thinking this will be the last place a burglar would look (wrong – skilled burglars are far more savvy than you realize!)

There are many other questions that winners wonder about. Here are the top 7 problems, along with some solutions…

1. You lose your ticket…
Not good. You might lose your money, because to claim your prize you must present your winning ticket. Without your ticket, there is no proof of ownership, and this means you won’t be able to collect your winnings. First step is to sign your ticket. By signing it acts as strong security against someone else trying to claim your prize if your ticket is lost or stolen. But usually your money is gone for good unless you have the physical ticket. Even a photocopy is unlikely to get accepted by the lottery organization.

2. Your ticket is stolen…
The obvious answer is not to tell a soul until you receive the check from the lottery organization. But you can protect it first by signing it with your name and address. Washington’s Lottery explains: “Like currency or dollar bills, Lottery tickets are ‘bearer instruments’ in that the holder of the ticket is the owner, unless the ticket is signed. By signing the back of your Lottery ticket, you make the ticket officially ‘yours’. Only the person whose name matches the signature on the ticket may claim its winnings.”

3. You’re asked to share a gift ticket proceeds…
There have been many cases where a lotto ticket was given as a gift, and the giver received nothing back in return. Since the prize is seen as ‘found’ money – money that cost little to obtain – so there will always be resentment that the giver didn’t receive any part of the winnings. Why not split it with them? Even a 90/10 split will go a long way to keeping the friendship.

4. Your family makes claims…
As in (3), if you worry about your family claiming a portion of the prize, then why not split the money up equally among all the family? This of course depends on your current love/hate relationship with them, heheh.

5. You miss the expiry deadline…
Lottery tickets do expire, so you need to check the dates on the back of the ticket. If you miss the deadline, you’re unlikely to get your prize. The best way is to make a regular trip to your lotto store after each game and have them put the tickets through their machine. You get added security by knowing there won’t be any mistakes too.

6. You get discovered…
The Power ball website says you can’t remain anonymous when you win one of their big prizes, and many other games have similar rules. The USA Power ball website FAQ says: “All but three states (DE, KS, ND) have laws that require the lottery to release the name & city of residence to anyone who asks.

One state (SC) will keep your name secret if you request it, but if someone files a Freedom of Information Act request, you may have to file a plea with the judge to deny it. Another state (OK) now has a law that allows you to claim in a trust and to keep your name from the press (though the lottery will run checks on you).” From http://www.powerball.com/pb_contact.asp

Check out your own lottery website for its policy on keeping your name out of the media. It’s worthwhile staying under cover for as long as you can.

7. You get begging letters…
Conceal your winning amount so you don’t receive them, or move. Or ignore the letters. There’s no secret to avoiding these letters except by not receiving them in the first place.

Watch out for these problems and take steps to minimize the effects. After all, spending your winnings is already stressful enough!
